The Role:

Castalia Systems is currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with a focus on RF/Signal Processing to join our team for an exciting contract supporting our IC customer. The selected candidate for this position will lead engineering teams in the development of complex processing capabilities in support of national security for our IC customer.

Title: Systems Engineer – RF/Signal Processing (Sr)

Location: Chantilly, VA (on-site)

Responsibilities

What You Bring:

Required Skills:

• Active TS/SCI with ability to obtain CI Poly prior to start
• Demonstrated experience in leading engineering teams in the development of complex processing capabilities.
• 20 years of experience in real world application of digital signal processing (DSP).
• Expert-level knowledge of signal detection theory as applied to weak signal recovery.
• Demonstrated advanced scripting skills. 

Required Education:

• PhD degree in physics or engineering with a focus in digital signal processing

Qualifications

Desired Skills:

• Software development in STK, xMidas, JAVA, Python, C/C /C#, and SQL
• Expert-level knowledge of the MATLAB/Simulink programming language
• Certification at the MathWorks's Certified Associated level or higher
• Experience in high-performance for computing (HPC).
• Experience implementing MATLAB signal distributed computing on clustered processors.
• Demonstrated experience in satellite communication systems, technical collection methodologies and large volume data processing for SIGINT and RF MASINT.
