Job Summary

The Human Resources Specialist supports the Human Resources & Employee Experience team's overall functions by performing various clerical activities, new employee onboarding, new hire orientation, and related tasks.

This person also plays a part in coordinating positive employee experience events.

Essential Duties

  • Assists the Human Resources and Employee Experience team with daily Human Resources duties and completes a variety of administrative tasks.
  • Assists the Human Resources and Employee Experience team in recruitment efforts like posting jobs, attending career fairs, phone screens, and scheduling interviews.
  • Supports new hires as they complete their onboarding tasks and ensure all requirements are met prior to hire.
  • Leads new employee orientation by presenting key information for new hire's success.
  • Supports Employee Experience initiatives by organizing events, participating in committee meetings, and surveying staff.
  • Oversees learning management system to enroll, disenroll, and track training for all staff.
  • Completes special projects as requested by the Human Resources Team.
  • Provides front desk coverage on an as needed basis.
  • Serves as backup for reception duties including but not limited to, answering phone, email messages, greeting or checking in visitors.
  • Assists with maintaining employee data systems.
  • Assists with auditing of agency personnel files.

Requirements

  • GED or High School Diploma required. Associate's degree preferred.
  • 2 years working experience supporting Human Resources required.
  • Proof of COVID Immunization.
  • Spanish Speaking preferred, but not required.
  • Proficiency with cloud-based platforms such as ZOOM, Teams, and other remote team messaging apps.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, time manage, take direction, prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Ability to maintain confidential / sensitive information.
  • Ability to deliver high quality documentation, paying attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be able to meet training and organization requirements for the position.
  • Must foster an environment that is solution-focused, dedicated, and compassionate to support the organization's mission, values, and strategic direction.
  • Must exhibit a demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion, valuing diverse perspectives and encouraging contributions by all team members.
  • Must possess or be able to qualify for and maintain a valid Arizona department of public safety level one fingerprint clearance card.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver's license and be insurable under the organization's automobile policy.
