We are searching for a candidate who will be responsible for performing custodial and janitorial duties involving the general cleanliness of the facility and the carrying out of direct services as required to keep residential buildings and office areas clean and free of hazardous conditions under direct supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor. This role is full-time and is eligible for PTO, Medical Insurance, 401K and paid sick time.
Essential Duties: - Keeps building in a clean and orderly condition in and out of buildings in all seasons.
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors.
- Washes walls, ceiling and woodwork as well as windows.
- Vacuums hallways, stairs and office space.
- Cleans sidewalks, tile, rooms, hallways, lobbies, rest rooms, corridors, stairways and as well as other work areas and apartments as participants vacate premises.
- Washes, dusts and polishes all metal and woodwork, furniture and equipment.
- Helps maintain building by performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring and other related maintenance activities using hand tools.
- Notifies management concerning any needs for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating and ventilating equipment as well as all fire and safety hazards.
- Mows lawn, trims shrubbery and cultivates flowers using handtools and power tools.
- Disposes of garbage trash and refuse.
- Replaces light bulbs, check smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors routinely
- Performs any other duties as assigned or related duties deemed necessary and appropriate.
