- Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate
- A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience with excellent evaluations
- Holds a SEI (Structured English Immersion) Certification, ESL (English as a Second Language) Certification, a Bilingual Endorsement or is willing to obtain one within one year of hire date
- Demonstrates ability to reclassify a higher-than-average percentage of students on the state AZELLA language proficiency assessment, as evidenced by state data
- Demonstrates proficiency in teaching English Language Learners as evidenced by principal’s evaluations and student achievement
- Demonstrates knowledge of Arizona English Language Proficiency Standards and instructional materials

- Plans district parent liaison training that pertain to ELD program initiatives and attends Parent-Teacher conferences, as needed
