Summary
Under the direction of the nurse manager and direct supervision of a licensed physician, physician assistant (PA), advanced practice registered nurse (APRN), or registered nurse (RN), provides supportive care to the Emergency Department through specified patient care duties. Responsible for performing specialized technical tasks and procedures within scope of practice, as defined on this job description, according to established protocols. Population served by this position is all age groups.
Qualifications
Required
- Current Paramedic Licensure within the state of Nevada
- National Registry Emergency Medical Technician and Paramedic (EMTP)
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for healthcare providers
- American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for healthcare providers Certification Current within 90 days of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (AHA) certification within 90 days of hire
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training required within 6 months of hire
