Summary
Responsible for assisting providers and management with all aspects of the Medical Assistant staff, patient care, clerical, environmental and organizational tasks. Provide information to patients so they may fully utilize benefit from the clinic services.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in one of the following Medical Assistant Programs:
- The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- The Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification from American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- The National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) certification from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
- The Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Minimum of one year of Medical Assistant experience in corresponding setting.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for healthcare providers Certification
- Minimum of five years of Medical Assistant experience in corresponding setting or two years as CTMG MA II.
Preferred
- College curriculum.
- EKG Certification.
