Job Description:
Carousel Child Care is seeking a dedicated Teacher's Assistant (TA) who is enthusiastic about working with children and supporting a lead teacher in fostering a nurturing and educational environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in childcare, as no previous experience is required and comprehensive training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Lead Teacher in daily classroom operations, ensuring all children are signed into Tadpoles upon arrival.
- Constantly supervise children to ensure safety and immediate reporting of any issues or injuries.
- Participate in maintaining classroom cleanliness and organization, including managing daily and weekly cleaning tasks.
- Follow the lead teacher’s instructions for classroom activities, ensuring adherence to the set schedule and lesson plans.
- Support the lead teacher during meal service, taking responsibility for meal counts and ensuring all children are served appropriately.
- Utilize positive behavior management techniques to maintain an engaging and safe environment.
- Complete 24 hours of professional training each year from an approved source to enhance educational and caregiving skills.
