Carlex Glass America is Hiring a Float Maintenance Manager Near Nashville, TN
- Implement the plant’s preventive and predictive maintenance program, including equipment failure records
- Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies required for maintenance activities
- Review production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities
- Prepare department budget and monitor expenditure of funds in budget
- In coordination with Human Resources, attract, hire and retain high quality maintenance team members
- Administer and manage the Maintenance Training Program
- Inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards
- Provide technical support for maintenance functions
- Participate in safety, health, and environmental continuous improvement initiatives
- Direct training, hiring and onboarding of workers to improve work performance and familiarize workers with company policies and procedures
- Confer with employee representatives to resolve grievances, as needed
- As directed, backfill the Plant Manager and assume full responsibility during absences for vacation or at other times with a full understanding of critical metrics that support meeting the customer demands both in Quality and Delivery
Experience
Required- Exemplary Troubleshooting skills • Ability to effectively communicate maintenance issues, planning and repair resolution to all levels of employee • Ability to lead using the Servant Leadership Model • Ability and willingness to uphold the Carlex Values of Safety, Team Work, Customer Focused, Excellence and Trust
- Other Requirements: • Proficiency in planning and preventative maintenance management processes and systems • Robust understanding of Lean, 5S, DOE, and other process improvement tools • Experience with a Union environment preferred, but not required • Proficient in reading architectural blueprints and shop drawings • Ability to work with cross functional teams • Work beyond the traditional 40 hours per week may be required as work load or projects dictate, including weekends and holidays
- 7 - 10 years: 7-10 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment • If not degreed, at least 10 years of functional leadership experience in a supervisory role

Required- Technical/other training or better in Manufacturing Technology or related field
