Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of nursing operations within the facility
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards, including Medicare and resident rights
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain high-quality care
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, including nurse managers and direct care providers
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and therapists, to ensure coordinated care for residents
- Conduct regular documentation reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Manage staffing levels and schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing feedback and implementing corrective actions as necessary
Requirements:
- Valid nursing license (RN or higher) in the state of employment
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a healthcare setting, preferably in a nursing home or assisted living facility
- Strong knowledge of Medicare regulations and requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff members
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in shift management and scheduling
- Knowledge of acute care practices and procedures
- Familiarity with resident rights and advocacy
- Previous experience in nurse management is highly desirable
