The Research Associate will be responsible for managing internal and commercial test kit production and all related tasks. Provide extensive technical support for fulfilling contract requirements for development and execution other immunological, virological, and biochemical assays.

• The Research Associate is expected to produce, test, ship and maintain inventory for the ELISA kit business.
• Assist in the development and qualification of new assays including but not limited to, the following: cytokines and other soluble biomarkers Multiplexing assays (Luminex, Aushon, MSD platforms), ELISA, ELISpot, and Neutralization Assays, among others.
• Responsible for organizing and ensuring efficient daily operation of the laboratory including maintaining laboratory stocks of all necessary reagents and other materials used for experiments. Maintain inventory of critical reagents and control samples needed for kit production.
• This position will ensure the accuracy of record keeping of experimental conditions and results. Complete all necessary documentation in a timely manner including review by supervisor or designee.
• Routine performance of existing assays according to established procedures.
• Assist with daily scientific duties in the laboratory to meet commercial and government contract obligations in a timely manner. Lab activities may involve interaction with other functions and departments.
• Assist in revising existing SOPs and writing new SOPs and Test Methods.
• Assist in the development and/or implementation of new platforms at ABL including but not limited to, new assay optimization, qualification, validation, etc.
• Responsible for troubleshooting methods, compiling, reviewing, and submitting accurate reports.
• Assist with compilation and summary of test data and data analysis.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, biology, immunology, or related discipline.
• 5 years of related experience.
• Proficiency with immune assays including ELISA is required and ELISPOT, soluble biomarkers multiplexing platforms (Luminex, MSD, Aushon, etc.) and viral neutralization studies desirable.
• Ability to work as a strong contributor in a team environment.
• Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and self-motivated.
• Must possess outstanding communication skills (written/verbal) as well as excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
• Strong computer/ software skills including MS Office Suite programs, clone Manager and Softmax.
