The Company, a leading investment management firm offering diverse products and services to individuals and institutions, is seeking a Vice President, Head of Financial Operations. The ideal candidate will have a BS in Accounting and be a CPA with over 15 years of corporate accounting or financial operations experience, preferably in the asset management industry. The role requires significant managerial and general ledger experience, including a detailed understanding of mutual fund and separate account revenue streams, compensation programs, operating expenses, and corporate treasury activities. The candidate should also have considerable experience with major accounting system projects and process improvements, such as general ledger implementations and upgrading sub-ledger systems.Responsibilities for this leadership role include overseeing the monthly closing process, maintaining the chart of accounts, managing the general ledger, and leading special projects to improve reporting systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for the integration of financial operations in inorganic transactions, managing the dissemination of financial management reporting, and ensuring the internal control environment's effectiveness and efficiency. Strong management skills are essential, as the role involves leading a team of experienced accounting professionals and collaborating with various departments, including legal and FP&A, on special transactions. The candidate should be adept at problem-solving, leading staff in issue resolution, and have a strong technology orientation to enhance business processes.
