Bear Creek Services is actively in search of an
Executive Director
to lead our dynamic team devoted to making a positive impact in the lives of adults with disabilities.
Position Overview:
The Executive Director is the pivotal management leader responsible for successfully executing the organizations strategic plan. This includes providing leadership in fundraising, marketing, community outreach, and collaborating with the board of directors.
Desired Candidate Qualities:
Has a strategic mindset to align priorities and effectively communicate the mission, vision, and values.
Demonstrate effective communication skills and the ability to coach and develop a group of leaders for excellence in their roles.
Value and be open to feedback from stakeholders.
Exhibit passion for disability services to champion the mission, vision, and values of supporting people with disabilities to live an empowered life.
Display ambition to build relationships within the community to enhance Bear Creek Services outreach for networking and fundraising.
Collaborate with the finance department and demonstrate fiscal responsibility.
Confidently navigate and interpret complex governmental regulations or highly regulated industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Understand and effectively communicate the impact of federal, state, and local government on the organization and its strategic direction.
Oversee the creation of an annual budget, monthly financial statements, and financial direction to support the agencys mission and strategic goals.
Provide leadership and strategic direction for agency development and fundraising efforts.
Build and maintain working relationships with all stakeholders, including parents, guardians, employees, donors, government entities, and the board of directors.
Develop resources and talent to ensure high-quality programs leading to a person-centered organizational service delivery.
Collaborate with the Board of Directors and employees to fulfill the mission, vision, and values through programs, strategic planning, and community outreach.
Experience and Education:
Bachelors degree in a related field; Masters degree preferred.
Five or more years of senior management experience.
Other Requirements:
Successful completion of a criminal background check.
Valid drivers license and proof of current automobile insurance.
About Bear Creek Services:
Bear Creek Services is a non-profit organization based in Rochester, MN, providing essential services to approximately 100 adults with disabilities. Established in 1976 by parents of children with developmental disabilities, the organization currently oversees 13 group homes and an independent living services program.
