Impact Automation is looking for a Controls Engineer to support our rapid growth. This position requires travel to various job sites throughout the U.S. approximately 50% of the year. Most of the projects are based in major cities.
When on a project site, the controls engineer must be able to program Rockwell PLCs and troubleshoot electrical circuits. The scope will vary based on the complexity of the installation – every project will be a little different. Experience with networking, PC controls, and operator displays is extremely helpful.
When not on a project site, the engineer will work in Impact’s Columbia, Maryland, office. He or she will be preparing drawings, documentation, and developing plans for upcoming projects. You will also help to close out existing projects. You must be able to generate panel designs and electrical schematics in AutoCAD 2D.
