Spang Engineered Solutions, a division of Spang & Company, has an opening for a Maintenance Technician at its new location in McKinney, TX. This position will be responsible for providing general maintenance labor for repair and upkeep of our McKinney facility and as well to coordinate work with relevant vendors.

Spang Engineered Solutions designs and manufactures custom inductive components for an array of industries including renewable energy, solar, medical, aerospace, automotive, and military. Our manufacturing locations include Pittsburgh, PA, Phoenix, AZ, McKinney, TX, in the U.S.A., and Xiamen, China.

This person will have primary responsibility for the building, grounds, equipment, and fixtures. Duties include performing minor repairs for electrical, pneumatics, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry and painting needs. This includes equipment setup and repairs and the maintenance and repairs for the forklift, operation of general power tools and equipment needed to maintain facility, performing electrical and mechanical preventative maintenance throughout the facility, coordinating ongoing and annual permits and inspections (emissions, fire, sprinkler, etc.) and fire drills, coordinating the work of third-party vendors, including a professional cleaning service, lawn service and the landlord, scrap recycling, and waste stream and hazardous waste activities, maintenance of equipment manuals and Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and taking the lead on safety inspections.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, along with 5 years of general maintenance experience and knowledge of how to operate a vertical milling machine and/or lathe in order to create or alter component parts for manufacturing.
