The Village of Heather Hills is seeking a Part-time Dishwasher to join our team! 

Job Summary: As a dishwasher, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, utensils, pots, and pans used in the kitchen. Your role is essential in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, enabling other kitchen staff to work efficiently. You will work closely with the kitchen team to uphold high standards of cleanliness and food safety.

Responsibilities:

1. Dishwashing: Operate industrial dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans.
2. Cleaning Surfaces: Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, including countertops, sinks, stoves, and equipment.
3. Organizing: Properly store clean dishes and utensils in designated areas, ensuring easy access for kitchen staff.
4. Trash Removal: Dispose of kitchen waste and garbage in accordance with sanitation guidelines.
5. Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of chemicals and cleaning agents.
6. Maintenance: Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to management promptly.
7. Teamwork: Collaborate with other kitchen staff to maintain a clean and organized workspace, contributing to overall kitchen efficiency.

Requirements:

1. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
2. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure dishes are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
3. Team Player: Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
4. Reliability: Dependable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
5. Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
6. Safety Conscious: Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation.

Education and Experience:

• Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not required.

Work Environment: Fast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to heat, steam, and cleaning chemicals. Requires standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects.
