The Opportunity:We are looking for an analytical, organized, and seasoned Director of Supply Chain to oversee and scale the company’s omnichannel supply chain operations and logistics across DTC, Amazon, retail, and dropship. You will work cross-functionally throughout the organization, reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, and work closely with all stakeholders around product, merchandising, and growth. You will manage and scale an in-house team dedicated to executing and excelling in logistics and supply chain operations. You will be an instrumental member of the decision-making team, expanding the operational foundation and systems for Caraway’s continued growth.

Who You Are: The ideal candidate has experience building, scaling and operating consumer goods companies in multiple distribution channels across North America, with international (EU and other) a plus. In addition, this candidate should have deep experience working with contractured manufacturers, freight forwarders, 3PLs, fulfillment carriers and other supply chain partners. You’ve had functional ownership of Shopify, ERPs, and logistics systems such as Anvyl, Flexport and have a strong understanding of technical workflows from procurement through to fulfillment. The ideal candidate should have a passion for coaching and developing their team to deliver A work, is very organized, a great team player, and a critical thinker. We’re looking for someone that will learn to adapt into what Caraway has built and support the continued growth through their own experience and skillset.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and lead teams for all supply chain functions, including but not limited to: production operations, inventory management, supply planning, warehousing, logistics and fulfillment operations
  • Manage and develop an internal team of 2 direct & 7 indirect reports, and provide growth opportunities through exposure, coaching, and training
  • Develop and optimize the Sales and Operations Planning function for all distribution channels
  • Diversify fulfillment and logistics operations through expanding existing carrier and freight partnerships
  • Oversee and support our ecommerce and wholesale distribution teams with platforms and partners such as Shopify, Amazon, Target, Costco, Crate & Barrel, etc
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for six-figure annual savings in operational costs
  • Direct our 3PL and logistics’ partnerships, supporting business expansion, contract negotiations, and redundancy plans
  • Optimize our Amazon FBA & FBM, SFP strategy and function
  • Evaluate the functions of our ERP, Fulfil.io, and identify solutions and optimizations where applicable, and develop new workflows where needed 
  • Establish monthly reports for Supply Chain P&Ls to track overall objectives
  • Travel to various distribution centers and supply chain partners within the US a few times a year

Knowledge, skill, and abilities:

  • 8 years of experience in supply chain in the consumer products and/or home goods industry
  • 5 years of experience in a senior management position, managing a team of at least six people (direct & indirect) at a fast-paced, DTC company
  • Experience running omnichannel operations across DTC, Amazon, marketplaces and retail/wholesale partnerships
  • Ability to lead long-term, cross-functional strategy efforts with minimal guidance
  • Track record of P&L ownership and six-figure operational savings
  • Experience building and leading a high-performing, multi-layered team
  • Technical proficiency in operational systems such as Shopify, ERPs (Fulfil.io preferred), Anvyl, Flexport, ProShip, EDI and Amazon Seller Central
  • Strong analytical skills and Excel skills with data-obsessed approach to problem-solving and opportunity identification
  • Highly adaptable and open to new ways of achieving objectives
  • A passion for high-quality kitchen products
