Capstone Precision Group is Hiring a Facilities Technician Near Mesa, AZ

JOB SUMMARY

This position works closely with the Department Manager, Plant Manager, Department Mangers, Shift Supervisors and Engineering. The position requires good communication skills. Must be able to plan and prioritize issued assignments according to need. Expected to maintain over all care of the facilities. Requires research, brainstorming and fact-based decision. Will work with vendors or contractors to assist with resources or labor. Expected to help maintain inventory levels for equipment that is critical to operations and consumables. Will maintain a working assignment log for the issuing and completion of work. Must have good time management skills and be responsive and follow up on request.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow all safety and HESS policies.
  • Is responsible for department quality.
  • Must be able to use basic mathematical calculations such as add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Working knowledge of hand/power tools, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical.
  • Communicate with Department Managers and Plant Manager on maintenance issues and general discussion.
  • Participate in department audits and ensure all issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Be dedicated to continuous improvement. Research and brainstorming.
  • Support company objective and utilize best practices to meet goals.
  • Work with the Department and Plant Manager on future opportunities.
  • Make fact-based decisions using data and historical knowledge.
  • Must maintain a clean and organized area by using the 5S Principals.
  • Recommends measures to improve department operations for safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Continue to educate and increase knowledge on company tools and equipment.
  • Diagnose and determine root causes.
  • Assist with Machine maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 3 year of maintenance experience.
  • High School diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) preferred.
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret documents such as safety rules, prints, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Forklift certified.
  • Basic Welding.
  • Torch work.

The work is primarily performed in a typical manufacturing environment. Wear safety attire or protective gear, when posted. may be exposed to distracting noise levels, may work within a few feet of other workers. For the most part ambient room temperatures and lighting as found in a typical office environment. Will be exposed to heat, cold and smells. Expect to work in confined spaces.
