JOB SUMMARYThe AP/AR Accounting Assistant is responsible for day to day accounts payable/receivable function and assisting the accounting department with record keeping activities of The Adam Corporation (Company). This position requires the utmost attention to detail, timeliness, efficiency, cost effectiveness, and customer service while adhering to the standards set by the Company.
Essential Job Functions
· Process accounts payable and employee expenses reports
· Prepare invoice vouchers and insure correct GL coding
· Reconcile and process credit card statements
· Process check runs and employee expense runs
· Assist the accounting team with maintaining the monitoring of capital expenditure payments, the fixed
asset system and associated depreciation schedules
Job Qualifications
· 10 years’ experience in accounts payable or 10 years’ combined experience predominantly in A/P with A/R or light accounting
· Knowledge of corporate accounting policies and procedures
· Ability to use Microsoft productivity software such as Excel and Word
· Excellent attention to detail
· Strong organizational ability
· Effective corporate communications skills
· Ability to consistently meet all deadlines
· Good attitude.
· Highly motivated self starter.
· Ability to effectively organize filing systems.
· Must be able to handle stress in a healthy and professional manner.
· Has an ability to learn new technologies as necessary.
Scope of Responsibility
Knows the formal and informal company goals, standards, policies and procedure including familiarity of other companies within the organization. Is sensitive to the interrelationship of both people and functions within the various companies of the organization.
