Role : Project Lead

Client : State Of District Of Columbia(D.C)

Location : Washington, DC (onsite)

Job Description:

The successful candidates will be responsible for and expected to:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, defining project scope, objectives ,deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Lead project teams in executing tasks, managing dependencies, and resolving issues to ensure successful project completion within budget and schedule constraints.
  • Utilize project management methodologies and tools to monitor progress, track milestones, and mitigate risks effectively.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and communication channels to gather feedback, address concerns, and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Work closely with technical teams, including developers, engineers, and architects, to design, develop, and implement technology solutions aligned with DC Government's strategic objectives.
  • Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and finances, to optimize efficiency and maximize project outcomes.
  • Establish quality assurance processes and metrics to assess the performance, reliability, and usability of technology solutions deployed by the DC Government.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards, policies, and regulations governing technology projects and government operations.
  • Display a high degree of adaptability, flexibility, and willingness to assist fellow team members; and
  • Display extremely strong critical thinking skills.

The Candidate must have experience with Project Management concepts including a deep understanding of the Agile Scrum Methodology.

  • Responsibilities:

1. Analyzes process and re-engineering with an understanding of technical problems and solutions as they relate to the current and future business environment.
2. Creates process change by integrating new processes with existing ones and communicating these changes to impacted Business Systems teams.
3. Recommends and facilitates quality improvement efforts.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $30.00 - $65.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Experience:

  • developing use cases and user stories: 5 years (Preferred)
  • business process mapping or operational redesign: 8 years (Preferred)
  • technical writer in a S/W application development: 8 years (Preferred)
  • process flows and system architecture diagrams Visio: 8 years (Preferred)
  • orking with technical staff: 8 years (Preferred)
  • conducting integrated team sessions: 8 years (Preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent: 1 year (Preferred)
  • IT Business Analyst: 8 years (Preferred)
  • understanding of software quality assurance and processes: 8 years (Preferred)
  • Intermediate understanding of relational data models.: 5 years (Preferred)
  • understand of Agile project mgnt with focus on Scrum Agile: 5 years (Preferred)
  • Skilled with MS Office tools (Visio, PowerPoint, Word: 8 years (Preferred)
