JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Technical Writer will gather, analyze, translate, and compose technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by both technical and non-technical personnel. Documents include, but are not limited to, Confluence page updates, user documentation, training materials, installation guides, help text, presentations, and reports. The Technical Writer will also act as a product advocate to various user groups.
Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience with showing ideas graphically, comfortable interfacing with subject matter experts and managers, and delivering finished presentations as needed.
Desired: experience with Jira and Confluence

•Gather, analyze, translate and compose technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by technical and non-technical personnel.
• Compose technical documents including, user manuals, training materials, installation guides, helps text, presentations, and reports.
•Edits functional descriptions, system specifications, user’s manuals, special reports, or any other customer deliverables and documents.
• Conduct research and ensures the use of proper technical terminology.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers on the development of documentation.
• Maintain documentation, presentations, matrices, and other project related information in the normal upkeep of project.
• Maintain documentation on organizational SharePoint sites.
• Draft Blog Posts to disseminate and publicize new system functionality.
• Compose release notes and accomplishment write ups.

EDUCATION:
• Doctorate 1 year of experience, or
• Bachelor Degree 5 years of experience, or
• Associate’s Degree 7 years of experience, or
• No Degree/GED 9 years of experience.
