Capital Health is Hiring a Food Service Supervisor Near Trenton, NJ
Overview
- Designs master work schedule and plans daily work schedules for personnel in order to run an efficient operation.
Responsibilities
- Assists management with interviewing and hiring prospective candidates. Evaluates personnel to ensure correct and adequate coverage on each shift. Monitors subordinate employees and ensures schedules and work duties are completed.
- Establishes daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules and supervises observation of this process.
- Controls expenses and generates revenues projected for budget.
- Ensures the safe operation, cleaning, and maintenance of equipment.
- Inspects work completed to ensure standard of quality including proper storage, proper temperatures, proper labeling, and dating of foods.
- Performs the opening checklist functions to ensure that the facility is ready for the daily operation.
- Properly secures all Food and Nutrition Department supplies, equipment, and cash at the end of each shift.
- Ensures that the catering and retail areas are adequately staffed, stocked, and operating efficiently.
- Performs all retail cash functions as necessary to include operating a register, running reports, and reconciling register activity with the cashiers. Completes cash reconciliation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- One or more years of previous experience.
- Frequent physical demands include: Carry objects , Push/Pull , Twisting , Bending , Reaching forward , Reaching overhead , Wrist position deviation , Pinching/fine motor activities , Taste or Smell Occasional physical demands include: Sitting , Climbing (e.g., stairs or ladders) , Squat/kneel/crawl , Keyboard use/repetitive motion Continuous physical demands include: Standing , Walking , Talk or Hear Lifting Floor to Waist 25 lbs. Lifting Waist Level and Above 10 lbs.
