Software Analyst - Finance Overview:
The Software Analyst will be responsible for performing all necessary project requirements gathering to develop and present technical and innovative solutions for the organization. The ideal candidate must have experience working with multiple payer sources, including Medicaid and commercial insurances, in all aspects of the billing and claim process. The Software Analyst will keep abreast of payer trends and issues negatively impacting timely and accurate reimbursement. All tasks must be performed in a timely and precise manner in accordance with government rules and regulations, including Medicaid, and organizational practices, policies, and procedures. The Software Analyst will assist with Tier 2 and Tier 3 level system tickets and be the primary escalation point for billing system issues reported. In this role, the Software Analyst must demonstrate leadership in working with program and administrative staff to achieve aforementioned goals, be successful in fostering teamwork, and demonstrate commitment to the ongoing pursuit of excellence in IT service quality.
Job Responsibilities:
Required Qualifications:
Associates degree with a minimum of two (2) years' medical, behavioral, or physician's private practice experience desired. (Increased billing experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.)
Strong attention to detail and have effective communication skills
Strong background in troubleshooting insurance denials and collecting accounts receivable with the Billing Team.
Preferred knowledge in behavioral health or social services related field and/or the information technology field performing administrative, technical support, application support, data collection, and system analysis and design.
Must be willing to travel on occasion.
Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills required.
Must have a solid understanding of project management concepts, practices, and methodologies.
Working knowledge of how system solutions apply to HIPAA standards and regulations to all areas of work.
Ability to collaborate with business users, clinicians, operational business owners, and technical staff members and others to develop thorough needs assessments and requirements gathering that lead to successful designs, developments, and implementations.
Has a strong sense of customer service. Experience consistently and effectively addressing customer needs.
Is comfortable interacting with peers and colleagues at various levels of the Organization and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
