Canes Midstream is Hiring a Contract Administrator Near Dallas, TX

Canes Midstream is a private equity backed midstream oil and gas company with assets in the prolific Permian Basin. Canes Midstream operates the largest private greenfield gathering and processing system in the Southern Midland Basin. The Company is experiencing significant growth and is seeking a Contract Administrator. This position will be responsible for preparing, examining, analyzing, negotiating, and revising contracts that involve the gathering, processing, transportation, purchase and sale of natural gas, NGL, and crude oil. The Contract Administrator will also support the marketing department with scheduling responsibilities such as inputting downstream scheduling activities within the company’s respective workbooks and confirming nominations with downstream pipelines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze, prepare, revise, maintain, and/or process contracts, records, and related legal documents
  • Research, read, and interpret legal documents with the assistance of legal team to ensure compliance with contract terms
  • Prepare contract briefs for each new agreement or amended agreements
  • Prepare and distribute Force Majeure notices to upstream and downstream customers and provide feedback upon request
  • File Memorandums of Agreements with relevant counties in TX to record in the applicable land records any new or amended producer land dedications to Canes
  • Compile and prepare ad hoc reports as requested
  • Provide information and assistance to producers, process stakeholders, customers, governmental agencies, contractors, attorneys, and others related to various contracts and agreements
  • Prepare and maintain fee escalation workbook to determine current fees (adjusted for escalation) for each agreement and routinely compare to settlement statements
  • Maintain contract administration data systems including creating reports and documents
  • Maintain scheduling workbooks such as the Gas Sales and Gas Scheduling workbooks
  • Confirm nominations daily with downstream pipelines and remediate differences
  • Occasional on-call responsibilities for scheduling, marketing, and operational issues
  • Ensure compliance with company and department policies and procedures
  • Maintain working knowledge of assets

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Finance/Accounting
  • 5 years Contract experience, preferably Oil & Gas contracts
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer service skills and prompt response time
  • Strong detail-orientation and top-level self-organization
  • Eager to take on responsibility
  • Understand business goals, objectives and direction of organization
