Fortinet is looking to hire a Web Developer to join the FortiSwitch Manager team. You will join this small team as the lead GUI developer. You will help maintain the existing source, and pull in updates from related projects. In addition to maintenance work you will optimize the pages to deal with the high volume of switches the system manages, as well as investigate and improve the user experience. Managing hundreds or thousands of switches requires clever approaches to the UX, which will need to be determined, developed in partnership with our OS engineers, and refined. As the lead GUI dev, and a senior member of the team, your input and expertise will be key, and your improvements may be adopted by other products.

Job Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain web-based user interfaces
• Integrate, maintain, and improve both 3rd party and proprietary software
• Collaborate with OS engineers, Product Management, QA, and Sales Engineers to determine UX improvements that could be solely within in the web GUI or involve changes to all aspects of the OS
• Optimize performance, and user workflow, in environments with thousands of switches, and hundreds of thousands of ports.
• Assist investigating and implementing new technologies

 Job Skills Required

• Minimum of 7 years experience working with Javascript/Typescript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with one or more Javascript frameworks/libraries, AngularJS preferred.
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with Linux development environment

 Assets

• Understanding of UX principles and how to apply them
• Understanding of networking and security concepts
• Experience with AngularJS
• Experience with C

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $160,000-$200,000. Fortinet offers employees a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k), 11 paid holidays, vacation time, and sick time as well as a comprehensive leave program.

Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.

All roles are eligible to participate in the Fortinet equity program, Bonus eligibility is reviewed at time of hire and annually at the Company’s discretion.
