Cancer Care Associates of Carolina is Hiring a Medical Office Administrative Assistant Near Aiken, SC

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Administrative Assistant. This role is vital to the smooth operation of our office, and you will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks in support of our healthcare professionals and patients.

Ultimately, the position requires a meticulous individual with a positive attitude, excellent patient satisfaction skills, and product and service knowledge. Individuals must be enthusiastic, devoted, and team players who can thrive in an aesthetic clinical setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain patient records: Update and maintain patient charts per HIPAA regulations.
  • Prepare medical documents: Prepare medical records, referral forms, and other documents as required by doctors.
  • Process insurance claims: Assist with processing insurance claims and managing patient billing inquiries.
  • Answer phones and emails: Professionally answer phone calls, direct inquiries, and respond to emails in a timely manner.
  • Perform other administrative duties: Additional duties may include filing, data entry, and assisting with other administrative tasks as assigned.

**Excellent Salary is available and negotiable**

Qualifications:

  • EDUCATION: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • COMPUTER SKILLS: Strong computer knowledge and skills with a minimum typing speed of 30 WPM.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office setting and/or relevant administrative experience.
  • Must possess a spontaneous desire to assist others and provide excellent customer service while being passionate within your role, along with being both efficient and productive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals in a professional and courteous manner
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Must be highly dependable and organized.
  • Must have outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Maintains an impeccably clean, polished, professional image.
  • Must have the ability to learn quickly, retain training, problem solve, and think independently.

Education:

High School Diploma required at minimum

Experience:

Past work experience in the medical field preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
