About This Position

Instructional assistants perform a variety of duties with students and assist teachers and specialists in supporting students, with an emphasis on reading, writing, math and/or behavior.

Compensation

• The Instructional Assistant III position is at Level K of the classified salary schedule and is based on a 182-day/9-month work year. Bilingual candidates will be placed on Level L.
• The estimated beginning salary for this position is $17.33-$18.38 per hour ($17.85-$18.94 for bilingual candidates); however, highly experienced candidates may be placed higher on the salary schedule at hiring.
• Applicants who hold a Bachelor's degree will automatically be placed at Step 3.
• Where will I be placed on the salary schedule?
• In addition to this salary, the Canby School District will pay the employee’s 6 percent PERS contribution.
