Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with budgeting. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills and experience with QuickBooks.
Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, recording transactions, and maintaining general ledgers
- Prepare financial statements and reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Analyze accounts and perform account reconciliations
- Prepare documentation for audits and assist with audit processes
- Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable activities
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations
-Maintain strict confidentiality of company books and records
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years experience as a bookkeeper
- Someone with knowledge of the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of technical accounting principles,
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks and Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Strong analytical skills for account analysis and reconciliation
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- High level of integrity and professionalism when handling sensitive financial information
Skills:
- 10-key typing proficiency for efficient data entry
- Experience with budgeting processes
-Tech savvy & familiar with current technologies like desktop sharing , cloud services, experience with word -processing software and spreadsheets.
