QualificationsThe ideal candidate for the position of bartender in an Italian cuisine establishment should have a solid understanding and appreciation for Italian cuisine. They should have a thorough knowledge of various types of drinks and cocktails, as well as the ability to make recommendations to customers based on their food selections. Additionally, the candidate should possess excellent communication and customer service skills to ensure a pleasant dining experience for customers. Minimum 2 years experience in bartending in a high volume restaurant and knowledge of different types of spirits and their pairings with Italian cuisine would be highly beneficial. The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously is also crucial. A passion for providing exceptional service and creating a welcoming atmosphere is essential for success in this role.Responsibilities-Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages consistent with the restaurant's standard drink recipes
- Take orders from customers and answer their questions regarding the drinks' ingredients and menu items
- Ensure accurate cash handling and manage the bar's cash register and POS system
- Maintain an orderly and clean bar area, as well as inventory and restock supplies as needed
- Create new drink recipes that feature Italian ingredients and showcase the restaurant's cuisine
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely service of drinks for customers
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for customers
- Ensure compliance with all alcohol regulations
- Train new bartenders and assist with their on-the-job training
- Upsell and promote beverage specials and additional menu items
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and drinks
- Communicate effectively with bartending team, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations
- Handle customer complaints and resolve any issues promptly and efficiently
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and new drink recipes, particularly those related to Italian cuisine.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $40.00 per hour
