CAMP is Hiring an Accounts Payable Supervisor Near New York City, NY

About the Company

CAMP is a Family Experience Company that helps answer the question “What should we do today?” through a unique combination of Retail & Media. Launched in December of 2018, CAMP operates nine retail locations in New York, Texas, Connecticut, Massachusetts, California, and New Jersey, and serves families everywhere via its digital platforms.

CAMP will open stores in other major markets in the coming months.

What is the role?

CAMP is looking for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our finance team.This role will report to the CFO. As an AP Supervisor you will be responsible for developing and improving existing Accounts Payable procedures, ensuring company-wide compliance with those procedures, and providing accurate, efficient, and timely coding, auditing, and processing of payable invoices.

What will you do at CAMP? 

  • Preparing payment runs, categorizing, reviewing and recording invoices, expenses and payments.
  • Setting up new vendors, and maintaining accuracy of existing vendor setups.
  • Administering three-way match of purchase orders, receiving confirmations, and invoice processing.
  • Performing the month end closing process and reconciliation of the ledgers
  • Partnering with the finance team to create new processes to improve financial efficiency.
  • Providing additional support for management, people team, and finance team as needed. 
  • Providing supporting documentation for audits
  • Other basic clerical duties associated with accounts payable
  • Ad-hoc duties to support the business

What will you bring to CAMP? 

  • Minimum of 7 years of accounts payable experience
  • Experience with bill.com and NetSuite helpful but not required
  • Service & action oriented - you will need to warmly and promptly answer questions from vendors and employees on a daily basis with a sense of urgency and priority.
  • Extremely detail oriented, diligent and thorough.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work without supervision and able to problem solve. 
  • Trustworthy and comfortable with sensitive data
  • Self-starter, proactive, ability to prioritize and shift focus with ease and flexibility - you are excited to dive in, build quickly and accomplish amazing amounts of important work.
  • Desire to be part of a tight knit team looking to transform the traditional retail experience.
  • Retail and / or consumer products experience in a start-up is a bonus. 
  • You are authorized to work lawfully in the United states
