Calyx Senior Living a developer and operator of senior living communities with over 25 years of operating history in North Carolina, is actively seeking a practical, hands-on Area Maintenance Manager to manage the preventative maintenance and repair program for its two open and two under development senior living communities in the Triangle.

The responsibilities of the Area Maintenance Manager include, but are not limited to:

• Working with the community teams to ensure going preventative maintenance, routine building safety programs and general work order and regulatory completion.
• Through the community teams and vendors, ensure the upkeep of the communities through the repair and maintenance of buildings, grounds, and support equipment.
• On call for after-hours physical plant emergencies.
• Working with the Development Team, participate in the community pre-opening commissioning and post-opening punch list management of new communities.

Area Maintenance Manager:

• An interest in working with the senior population.
• Experience in directly doing residential or hospitality building maintenance, ideally for multiple sites.
• The ability to be on site at all local communities on a routine, rotating basis.
• Working knowledge of basic construction principles including comfort with mechanical, plumbing and to a lesser degree, electrical systems as well as painting, touch up and trim work.
• Comfort with using technology (web applications, etc.) to track work status and compliance.
• COVID-19 Vaccine and Booster Required.
• Current North Carolina Driver's License Required
