JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS
- Job Summary:
  - The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) oversees the quality and efficiency of our patient care. This is an administrative and strategic planning role that involves maintaining and advancing standards of care, leading nursing staff improvements, engaging in the development of processes for care delivery, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Including but not limited to meeting The Joint Commission standards. The CNO is responsible for quality metric achievement and patient experience metrics as established by the organization. The CNO will review department manager reports, communicate issues with hospital leadership, and be involved with budgeting.
- Education:
  - Masters degree in nursing, business administration, or hospital administration, or related field preferred.
- Registration/Certification/Licensure:
  - Valid Maryland RN license.
  - National certification in nursing specialty, nursing leadership or administration preferred
- Experience:
  - A minimum of five to seven (5-7) years' experience demonstrating progressive development in management positions in a health care facility of comparable size or larger.
- Other Requirements:
  - Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
