Description
The HR Generalist II reports to the Senior Director of Human Resources and Operations. The Human Resources team provides a full range of support to faculty, staff, and student workers. California Western School of Law (CWSL) is looking for an experienced HR Generalist II (Generalist) to administer its benefit programs, including reporting, statistical analysis, reconciliations, audits, COBRA benefit administration, eligibility orientations, LOAs, workers compensation/safety, open enrollment activities, wellness programs, and compliance and legal issues. The Generalist will serve as the first point of contact for employee benefit questions and requests. The Generalist will also assist with various HR functions including recruiting, performance management, and student payroll.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related area and 4-6 years of experience in benefits administration. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. At least 1 (one) year of experience in recruiting and/or performance management preferred. Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now is a plus. Must be familiar with Federal/State laws such as ACA, FMLA, CFRA and CA Disability, required. Experience administering worker’s compensation a plus. Experience with LMS administration a plus. Experience in Higher Education preferred.

Compensation: $75,000 -$87,0000
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the law school reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the law school anticipates paying for this position, based on internal equity and budget.
