SUMMARY

The Facilities Associate is a key member of our team, responsible for ensuring that our physical environment supports the organization's needs and standards.

This role involves a wide range of tasks related to the maintenance, operation, and improvement of facilities. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who takes pride in keeping our workspace safe, functional, and welcoming for employees and visitors alike.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform regular maintenance tasks, troubleshoot issues, and carry out minor repairs to ensure the facility is operational and well-maintained.

Coordinate with external contractors for more extensive repairs and maintenance work as needed.

• Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, or areas for improvement. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Oversee the cleanliness of the facility, including common areas, restrooms, and outdoor spaces. Ensure that cleaning schedules are adhered to and standards of cleanliness are maintained.
• Assist in the organization and rearrangement of office furniture and equipment to optimize space utilization and accommodate changes in staffing or facility use.
• Manage the inventory of office supplies, furniture, and equipment. Order new supplies as needed and oversee the distribution of supplies to staff.
• Ensure that the facility complies with all relevant health and safety regulations. Assist in the development and implementation of safety plans and emergency response procedures.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for regular services such as cleaning, landscaping, and security. Monitor performance and address any issues.
• Provide logistical support for events hosted at the facility, including setup and teardown, coordinating with event organizers, and ensuring facility readiness.

Job Requirements :

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in facilities management, building trades, or a related field is a plus.
• Previous experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, or a related role.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Physical ability to perform tasks requiring manual labor and lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
• Flexibility to respond to emergencies outside of standard working hours if necessary.

LOCATION

100% on premise (may work evenings and weekends).

Additional Information :

WAGES AND BENEFITS

Compensation $22 (hourly).

CIIS offers a comprehensive benefits package.

• Working Conditions - Duties are primarily performed in an office environment at a desk or computer terminal, typically Monday through Friday.
• Background Check - Due to the sensitivity and requirements of this position, you should expect to undergo and be cleared of an employment background / criminal check, if extended an offer for employment.

You may also be asked to provide proof of educational degree(s), licenses, or credentials pertinent to the position. If your job requires driving on behalf of CIIS you will be required to provide proof of a valid driver's license.
