Position Summary: The Email Marketing Specialist will serve as CALI’s email marketing champion for customer engagement, email communications, and brand image. Email and social media are a pivotal component of CALI’s success. The incumbent will ensure email campaigns and social media branding align with CALI’s brand identity and messaging. The Email Marketing Specialist will serve a pivotal role in collaborations with partnering agencies, to develop and execute effective email and social media campaigns.
Essential Duties:
  • Partner with email marketing agency to include by serving as primary point of contact between CALI and agencies
  • Collaborate with the CALI brand marketing team and agency partners, to develop and execute comprehensive email marketing strategies
  • Develop and execute email and SMS marketing campaigns, including promotional, transactional, and lifecycle emails
  • Define target audiences and segmentation for strategies
  • Conduct A/B testing to optimize email content and templates for better performance
  • ERP email migration and cleanup, including identifying and assessing any outdated emails, evaluating need and relevance to current marketing objectives
  • Assist with and ensure a seamless transition of email triggers to new platform, optimizing functionality and performance
  • Assists with building and maintaining email subscriber lists
  • Collaborate with agency partners to identify customer lists based on data and behavior
  • Grow email subscribers through website pop ups and A/B testing
  • Set up and manage automated email workflows and drip campaigns for maximum efficiency and effectiveness
  • Track and analyze email campaign performance, providing regular reports and insights
  • Use data to make informed decisions and adjustments to email marketing strategies
  • Ensure email marketing practices comply with relevant laws and regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM Act, GDPR) and industry best practices
  • Work in collaboration with the CALI Brand Marketing team to ensure that email marketing initiatives are integrated into the annual marketing calendar
  • Coordinate the scheduling and timing of email campaigns to align with broader marketing initiatives and seasonal promotions.
  • Maintain open and clear communication with the CALI Marketing team and partner agencies, sharing feedback, goals, and performance metrics
  • Manage email review process among key stakeholders to meet brand and sales goals
  • Work with IT and Ops to solve technical issues and advance email execution, database segmentation, and results analysis
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Sales, Customer Service, Product and Creative teams, to align email campaigns with broader marketing efforts
  • Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • 3 years’ experience in developing, deploying, and optimizing email campaigns
  • BA degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (preferred)
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms and automation tools (Klayvio and Netsuite experience is a plus)
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (e.g. charting, formulas, analysis, etc.)
  • Familiarity with A/B testing best practices, and strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience working with external agencies or vendors is a plus

Compensation: $60,000 - $75,000, depending on experience
Physical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Work will be performed on laptop/computer primarily in an office environment. Some travel may be required. The position will require long hours on a computer keyboard and monitor with prolonged periods of standing and/or walking and/or sitting.
