Contract Administrator

St. Louis, MO

3-month Contract-to-Hire (Weekly Pay, Benefits, etc.)

This position is responsible for general contracts administration and support, including creation, maintenance, tracking and administration of contract files in the contract management system.

  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
  • Develops, implements, manages and maintains a formal contracts administration and database program for vendor contracts
  • Creates, manages, maintains and administers contract files and databases as necessary to ensure their accuracy and completeness
  • Assists as needed in the preparation of documentation for vendor and other company contracts based on established strategic, financial, legal and operational criteria
  • Independently engages and assists in the negotiation, drafting and preparation of contracts, proposals, letters and other client correspondence
  • Submits, tracks and monitors the proper execution and notarization (if applicable) of all contracts presented
  • Inputs, updates, and maintains master vendor contract files
  • Requests and secures Certificates of Insurance and performance bonds from contractors as needed
  • Resolves contract processing issues that impact client relationships
  • Corresponds and maintains relationships with internal business clients and vendors as necessary
  • Attends and conducts contract processing training sessions
  • Prepares reports

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Working knowledge of basic business contracts, principles and construction
  • Proficiency in Windows suite of office tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint Demonstrated communication, writing, facilitation, collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interact productively with peers, clients and other professionals
  • Ability to address internal stakeholders in a professional manner
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively

Required Education

  • Associate’s degree in Business-related field, or equivalent work experience

Required Related Work Experience And Number Of Years

  • 3 years as a contracts administrator or comparable experience working with contracts
  • Contract software/applications experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency using Ariba Contract Management or similar contract management software/applications Contract drafting and negotiation skills
  • Working knowledge of legal terms and their application

Preferred Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $23.04 - $27.75 per hour
