Some of the job responsibilities are below:Must be able to work: Days, Swings, or GraveyardGeneral Responsibilities:Responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair on equipment, machines and facilities to ensure the production operation is continuous and efficient. QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required.3-5 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.Ability to diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic problems on high-speed industrial equipment used in a manufacturing facility.Ability to use various hand tools- powered and non-powered, precision measuring tools, forklift and other tools and equipment to perform industrial maintenance tasks.Ability to perform various maintenance tasks- carpentry, plumbing, welding and cutting and operating appropriate tools to perform such tasks.Ability to use Excel, Word, Outlook, and CMMS proficiently.Ability to read and understand technical drawings and equipment manuals.Ability to communicate, write legibly, and speak in English.Ability to perform each essential function satisfactory. Knowledge of ladder logic/PLC programing (Preferred).Essential Functions:Performs maintenance related tasks as instructed and works shifts as assigned by management. Performs various maintenance tasks to include, but not limited to diagnosis and repair of electrical problems, diagnosis and repair of machines and equipment, building repairs, general maintenance, preventative maintenance, plumbing repairs and other tasks as needed. Utilizes mechanical skills and knowledge of electricity, pneumatics, PLCs, welding, cutting, and equipment operation to make repairs to facilitate the production operation and maintain the facility.Responsible for communication with Maintenance Staff and Production Management to ensure efficient operation of the production process.Responsible for working with contractors and vendors to facilitate repair of equipment and installation of new equipment. Performs preventive maintenance tasks and inspections, as required, based on manufacturer’s specifications.Maintains all records related to repairs, inspections, and/or preventative maintenance tasks using Megamation system software.Communicates with vendors and suppliers as needed to ensure parts meet required specifications. Participates in training programs, as needed, to upgrade or maintain skills.Performs all work to meet local, state and federal codes.Responsible for attending and participating in assigned training sessions related to safety, GMPs, SOPs, HACCP and SQF; applying and demonstrating obtained knowledge and following all procedures and policies related to food safety.Responsible for keeping work area safe and clean.Adheres to all safety guidelines for job performed. Other duties may be assigned by supervision as needed.Food Safety Requirements/Responsibilities: Complies with all Plant, State and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations.Understands applicable SQF requirements. Other & Miscellaneous: Ability to work all shift schedules including mornings, swings, and graveyard as needed.Ability to work as part of a team; capable of learning multiple jobs and maintain a high quality of work.Possess a high attention to detail.Ability to identify and analyze issues.Desire to be a hands-on, on-the-floor oriented manufacturing team member.Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Excellent interpersonal skills.Excellent attendance. Job Dimensions - Skills, Knowledge & AbilitiesAccuracy, Analysis, Attention to Detail, Communication (Speaking, Reading, Writing) in English, Dependability/Reliability, Ethics, Flexibility/Adaptability, Initiative/Follow Through, Judgment, Leadership, Listening & Understanding, Math skills, Personal Computer Usage, Problem Solving, Product Knowledge, Relationship Building, Team Participation, Technical Communications, Time Management.
