Our company, Calabrese & Winkler Holdings LLC., is looking for an experienced and passionate Director of Operations to join our team! Our company owns 4 restaurants along with a catering company; however, this role will only be responsible for the restaurant’s operations.
You will be supporting and managing our restaurants operations, maintaining all front and back of house operations, ensuring all restaurants are performing at their best. You are looking to join a hard-working and efficient team that cares about great food, drinks, and customer experience.
To be successful as Director of Operations, you should have excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service. You should be someone who leads by example, both in how you interact with your team as well as how to support our guests.

COMPENSATION: $85,000 - $90,000 ANNUALLY
Director of Operations Responsibilities:
- Ensuring restaurant managers are hiring and retaining team members and acceptable staffing levels to help improve productivity and quality of the guest experience.
- Drive performance and sales levels improvements for all restaurants.
- Teaching, coaching, leading and developing General Managers and the entire restaurant management team, as well as team members.
- Ensuring new company initiatives are supported and communicated clearly to all managers and team members.
- Ensuring that the strictest standards of sanitation, food safety and cleanliness are practiced in every restaurant, by every team member on a daily basis.
- Ensuring all drink and menu specials, offers/promotions, and procedure changes are rolled out in a clear, precise and effective manner.
- Manage and assist with restaurant event inquiries and event operations.
- Diagnose and help troubleshoot business opportunities.
- Addressing operational problems that arise.
- Monitoring each restaurants P&L reports.
- Provides appropriate and effective counseling and/or discipline.
- Provides effective training and follow-up of new products, programs and changes.
- Serves as a role model and sets a positive example for the entire team in all aspects of business and personnel management.
- Negotiates vendor contracts for the districts; follows company approval process for contracts.
- Ensure all employees and restaurant managers are providing excellent customer service; coach on proper steps of service, and proper procedures for solving guest concerns. Responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction scores meet or exceed brand standards.
- Aid restaurants and cover shifts or fill in gaps when needed.
- Any other duties deemed necessary or fit to the position.
Director of Operations Requirements:
- 7 – 10 years restaurant management experience required; as well as previous experience working as a multi - unit manager, in similar restaurant environment.
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Degree in business/restaurant management, culinary studies, or similar education preferred.
- Valid Food Management Certification required.
- Valid TABC license required.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Ability to interact positively and professionally with people at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Leadership and decision-making ability.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
- Financial planning aptitude including planning, budgeting, scheduling and P & L management.
- Must be able to perform basic business mathematical computations.
- Ability to select, coach, develop, and retain strong management teams.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, understand and conduct two-way communications in English.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
