Position: Operations Manager - Central Deposit Operations
Division: Operations and Technology
Summary:
Manage all activities and team, assist and backup daily functions within Items Processing as needed while ensuring bank approved procedures are followed in all day-to-day activities.
Essential Job Duties
* Responsible for managing, leading/supporting/instructing the team, signing off/approving time, reviews and training team
* Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assist IP Vendor and app support as needed, monitor workflow and transmissions, assist branch and other lines of business with IP related outages, assist in productions as needed to perfect and balance transactions, review positive pay, perform duplicate detection, transmit and balance files with host, build and send outbound cash letters, process and balance inbound cash letters, send email confirmations for inbound/outbound ECLs.
* Responsible for creating and publishing the monthly statement calendars, setting up special statement cycles, and preparing EOM reporting. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
* College degree or equivalent work experience
* 15 years of relevant bank operations experience, with 5 years in a senior leadership position.
* In-depth knowledge of system applications, deposit operations functions, processes, procedures, products and industry trends.
* Excellent relationship management experience, analytical and problem solving skills and project management skills.
* Must be able to identify relevant strategies, prioritize and take corrective action when appropriate.
* The ability to leverage technology to improve productivity, efficiency and reduce expenses.
* Proven track record of success and skill in bank operations.
* Managing expectations and development of systems and processes.
* Ability to actively develop, communicate, inspire and motivate all levels of staff.
* Must be a critical thinker and act strategically and proactively.
* Strong writing and presentation skills.
* Maintain daily activities while managing multiple projects from beginning to end in a timely manner under pressure situations.
* Periodic overnight travel required.
