Position Description:
Maintenance Technician
General Summary:
Repair and preventative maintenance of a variety of machinery, tools, equipment used in all of our facilities. Duties will also include but are not limited to maintaining routine maintenance and repair(s) of facilities and grounds. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously for long periods of time. This position requires a high sense of urgency with a focus on safety.

Repair / replace defective equipment using hand tools, power tools, & assemble equipment
Conduct weekly inspections of the grounds and identify any hazards, repairs, or maintenance required.
Perform routine preventive maintenance ensuring all machines continue to run smoothly, operate efficiently, and the physical condition does not deteriorate
Identify and order parts, supplies, equipment, etc to ensure shop equipment and facilities are running smoothly.
Diagnose mechanical & electrical problems determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary
Assemble, install and/or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment
Train, and where needed lead others in department to ensure departmental objectives are met.
Qualifications:
7 years of hands on repair of electrical and mechanical systems on machinery
Experienced with hydraulic systems repair and maintenance
Experienced with mechanical machine alignment checks and adjustments
Strong troubleshooting skills with electrical and mechanical metal cutting equipment
CNC machine repair experience, gantry mill repair experience a plus
Familiar with Fanuc, Mazak, Siemens CNC controllers, PLC controllers, and servo systems
Education / training in electronics and electrical systems desirable
Ability to use blue prints, electrical and hydraulic schematics, ladder logic diagrams, and other related technical documents, manuals and drawings to assist in diagnosis and repair of machine tools
General Physical Requirements:

• Stand, walk, push, pull, reach, overhead, and bends to the floor; exert 20 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or exert 10 to 75 pounds of force frequently.
• The employees is subject to high noise levels from operating machines; physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts; breathing fumes, dust and mist; skin exposure to oil and cutting fluid
