CACI's Charon Technologies team is looking to hire a Senior Systems Administrator based out of our Herndon, VA office. The ideal candidate will enjoy being a jack of all trades (DevOps, SysAdm and Tech Support) with proven success supporting and managing open-source and COTS solutions within classified (secure) development environments.
This Charon team specializes in designing and building hardware and software to meet our customers' next requirement. The one they do not know they have yet. Our products are used successfully throughout the commercial, military, and Intelligence Communities. We pride ourselves on our self-funded product development driven by our customer demands. We innovate through our long-term trusted customer relationships and operate as a commercial provider while also providing sophisticated solutions to the government. Our expertise allows us to rapidly provide specialized SWaP-optimized electronic/mechanical design, embedded & application software, reverse engineering & protocol analysis, and RF signals exploitation and communications.
Successful candidates must be able to hold and maintain a security clearance. Therefore, U.S. citizenship is required.You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in relatable field and 7 years of experience in DevOps/SysAdm (or increased years of experience in lieu of degree)
Well versed with administering classified systems and applying STIGs
Proven success maintaining development environment and supporting developers
Comfortable being “THE” technical lead, SysAdm and tech support
Broad technical knowledge across domains – IT, DevOps, Security and SysAdm
Well versed administering open-source development tools - Jenkins, Gitlab, etc.
Expertise with COTS – Active Directory, Windows server, zero clients, Horizon
Hands on expertise with virtualization, servers, storage, network devices, security
Experience administering systems such as patching, back-ups, monitoring
Experience implementing and maintaining systems governed under ICD, RMF or NIST
Possess a high level of attention to detail
Enjoy working with highly technical engineers
Thrive in a secure and dynamic environment
Good communication skills – written and verbal
You are an outstanding troubleshooter and critical thinker
Demonstrated success managing projects of all sizes
