Senior Marine Engineer Job Category: Engineering Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 25% Type of Travel: Continental US What You'll Get to Do: Senior Mechanical/ Marine Engineer providing direct support to Navy T-Ship Design Manager (SDM) and responsible for leading a team of engineers in the design, development, and construction of propulsion and machinery systems and interfaces with shipboard and mission systems for the T-Ship acquisition programs. More About the Role: * Development of ship propulsion and control systems specifications including but not limited to diesel-electric propulsion systems, propellers, rudder, thrusters, and their interface with dynamic positioning systems. * Development of marine auxiliary and piping systems, review and analyzing preliminary and functional design documentation and development of ship system specifications. * Review and analysis of mechanical and electrical propulsion systems, and auxiliary/ piping systems for technical data packages developed to support design and construction of T-Ships. * Development of machinery arrangements, weight assessments, propulsion integration and auxiliary systems.
