Job Description:

CACI Charon SystemWare Team is seeking a highly motivated mid-level Software Engineer with demonstrable experience in design and implementation of communications systems or wireless collection systems in microservice architectures. This role requires a strong foundation in high data rate applications as well as a working knowledge and familiarity with RF-based communications systems deployed in commercial environments. Your expertise will help drive forward next-generation RF system designs used in a variety of applications across our customer space while collaborating with a crossfunctional multi-disciplinary team including signal processing, software, hardware, mechanical and systems engineers. As part of our software team, you will work closely with signal processing and middleware developers to assist in the design and implementation of specialized tools, sensors, and communications devices, oftentimes outside of your “comfort zone”, to achieve innovative solutions to complex problems.

This team specializes in designing and building hardware and software to meet our customers' next requirement. The one they do not know they have yet. Our products are used successfully throughout the commercial, military, and Intelligence Communities. We pride ourselves on our self-funded product development driven by our customer demands. We innovate through our longterm trusted customer relationships and operate as a commercial provider while also providing sophisticated solutions to the government. Our expertise allows us to rapidly provide specialized SWaPoptimized electronic/mechanical design, embedded & application software, reverse engineering & protocol analysis, and RF signals exploitation and communications.

Successful candidates must be able to hold and maintain a security clearance. Therefore, U.S. citizenship is required.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

• 5 years experience working within high performance compute and/or embedded environments
• BS Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar field; Master’s degree preferred
• Strong C/C skills and development practices including unit testing techniques
• Experience with real time and embedded software development
• Experience in developing for the Linux operating system
• Experience with networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP/IP)
• Experience with application performance profiling and thread management for optimization
• Experience with inter-processor communication (IPC) frameworks involving tightly coupled processor configurations (such as Zynq MPSoCs / RFSoCs)
• Experience developing microservice based solutions

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• Experience with Rust, Python, or Golang
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment
• Experience with real time environments including bare metal, FreeRTOS or similar
• Experience with signal processing or other vector / matrix algorithm implementations and optimizations using high performance computing methods (SIMD/SSE, AVX, DSPs, or CUDA) for low latency operations
• Experience with UI frameworks such as web UI, WebGL, and Android (Kotlin) is a plus

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $74,600-$156,700. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
