POSITION OVERVIEW The Director of EVS oversees the overall management, coordination, and support of Environmental Services and Linen Department, their activities, and works with staff at all levels of the facility regarding the cleanliness of the hospital facility. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Develop and manage one or multiple departmental budgets, including making budget allocations, approving expenditures and ensuring expenses are within budget Ensure department meets all regulatory guidelines and requirements Ensure departmental quality assurance program is implemented and managed effectively Make decisions for direct reports in one or multiple departments and perform people management activities such as performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, staff planning, and interviews Set clear expectations regarding accountability and empowers employees to act in order to achieve optimal performance from the EVS team Supervise managers or supervisors within one or multiple departments and manage the performance of individuals through ongoing coaching, feedback and development to motivate, engage and drive a high performing team.
