Experience Required:
Ten years of Navy operational experience, including at least five years assigned to a US Navy ship.
Five years of Navy budget, programming, concept development, and/or acquisition experience at either Echelon I or Echelon II levels.
Significant experience (time and/or responsibility) related to the AEGIS Combat System.
Skilled at coalescing, presenting and explaining strategic issues in the context of current technical challenges to a variety of audiences, from new hires to senior decision makers.
Capable of using Microsoft Office Products, including Microsoft PowerPoint, for presentations and display.
Expert written and oral communication skills.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
Preferred Experience
MA degree in National Security Studies or Military/Maritime fields, or an MS degree in Naval Architecture, Engineering, Combat Systems, or related field from an accredited college.
Served as Commanding Officer of an AEGIS destroyer or cruiser.
Experience facilitating War Rooms, Wargames, or Table Top Exercises.
Prior experience as an Instructor on Naval topics.
Within the last five years, experience with Surface Navy Combat Systems development or acquisition.
Within the last five years, experience in either OPNAV or NAVSEA organizations
