Overview of the Role 

  • Reporting directly to Vice President, Sales and will have managerial responsibilities in the Southern US markets to include 7-Eleven.
  • The position is responsible for maximizing the organization’s sales operating performance, revenue and achievement of its financial goals
  • Interact with Business Development Managers for execution of convenience strategy for client partners across distributor and retailer customers within the assigned territory 
  • Support all major Industry shows as deemed necessary by leadership 

What You’ll do at C.A. Carlin 

  • Meet or exceed the organizations overall sales and revenue objectives
  • Create, manage and monitor strategic annual plans to grow sales & revenues.
  • Integrate use of CA tools against strategic goals inclusive of Activate, Insights, and Support.
  • Manage, communicate and execute against client goals and internal goals
  • Manage and maintain budgets and maximizing profits. 
  • Communications should be timely and designed to keep the sales force informed, address needs and keep channel leadership informed of issues, opportunities, expectations and successes.
  • Physically engage in the market place with assigned sales team. You will be expected to be in all territories at a minimum of three times per year working with the team and reviewing performance based on the established schedule.
  • Manage, communicate and execute against client goals and internal goals.
  • Manage and monitor both sales person and customer contributions and expenses.
  • Manage all alignments and balanced workloads for the sales force along with identifying additional needs tied to personnel.
  • Manage sales meetings, client communications, customer communications, new client rollout, monthly, quarterly and annual sales person and territory performances.

What You Should Bring to the Table

  • Must have a bachelor's degree and 5-10 years' experience in marketing, sales, analytics and/or comparable background in the industry (manufacturer, broker, supplier, or agency)
  • Strong organization and multi-tasking skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suites including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere as well as independently
  • Must have knowledge and understand the process involved in data analysis& syndicated data (i.e. Category management principles)
  • Must have a high degree of proficiency in Windows and related software applications to include Excel, Word, Power Point, and database management
  • Strong project management experience, planning competencies, excellent presentation
  • Innovative, solution-oriented mindset with problem solving and strategic thinking skills
  • Effective communication skills required to express the analytic tools used to various levels within the organization, the customer and with principals
  • In-depth knowledge of the consumer goods industry including class of trade, customers, category, competitive products, and industry trends 
  • Must be able to effectively interact and communicate with peers, sales management, senior management – customer interface experience is a “must"

  • Extensive experience working for or with a food & beverage broker/sales agency or consumer packaged goods
  • Extensive experience with 7Eleven
  • Leadership level experience with the convenience channel
