Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychotherapist to join our team. As a Psychotherapist, you will provide mental health counseling and support to individuals dealing with various emotional and psychological challenges. Your expertise in psychotherapy techniques, crisis intervention, and addiction counseling will be instrumental in helping clients achieve optimal mental well-being.
Duties:
- Conduct individual therapy sessions and/or family sessions to assess and address clients' mental health concerns
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on clients' needs and goals
- Utilize evidence-based psychotherapy techniques to facilitate positive change
- Provide crisis intervention and support during times of acute distress
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations using standardized assessment tools
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social work, or related field
- Valid licensure as a Psychotherapist or Mental Health Counselor (LCPC, LGPC, LCSW-C, or an LCMFT licensed in Maryland)
- Proven experience in providing psychotherapy services, preferably in a clinical setting
- Knowledge of diagnostic evaluation methods and familiarity with DSM V-TR
- Strong understanding of various psychotherapy modalities and their applications
- Ability to effectively intervene during crisis situations
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach to client care
