Butler County Educational Service Centre is Hiring an Administrator (Talent Coordinator) Near Hamilton, OH
DESCRIPTION: The Talent Coordinator is to provide leadership to meet identified needs of students in the areas of curriculum development in Gifted Education, Gifted Assessments, FBA’s, BIP’s, WEP’s, and PD for staff development. The Talent Coordinator will provide consistent support to students and teachers to implement meaningful differentiation. The coordinator monitors and evaluates student outcomes, communicates and interacts with students, parents, staff, and community. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facilitate universal data screening 2-3 times a year with school administrators, specialists, and/or teacher teams to screen for potential giftedness.
Support teachers on how to monitor and report on gifted/behavior student progress goals.
Utilize elements of the student-centered coaching model to collaborate with teachers and teams on planning for instruction and activities for Tier I/II Differentiation (all classrooms) and Tier II/III Differentiation (cluster classrooms).
Models co-teach differentiated lessons with cluster teachers (K-12) classroom teachers.
In classroom coaching to support students and teachers to promote the learning of all.
Provide staff with information on testing, referrals, student issues, FBAs, BIPs, and etc.
Collaborate with administrators and staff on developing FBAs and BIPs for students.
Inform administration of gifted needs, behavior needs, and concerns (ex. class placement, teacher training).
Conduct professional development with staff related to gifted and behavior education
Attend all required professional development and work days for New Miami LSD staff
Disseminate gifted information to parents (ex. Referral, Identification Process, etc.).
Conduct all parts of the gifted identification process (screening, referral, testing and scoring, eligibility, and determination notification).
Meet with parents to discuss test scores, FBAs, BIPs, and placement or non-placement status of students.
Disaggregate data from gifted referral and testing as part of equitable practices monitoring.
Be active participant in MTSS (Multi-Tier Support Systems)
Maintain accurate records in student cumulative record.
Work collaboratively with other districts
Complete and submit documents to ODEW
Coordinate initiatives
Manage budgets
QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid driver’s license
Valid Teacher Licensure in the State of Ohio
Master’s Degree in Education or higher
Appropriate State of Ohio Principal’s Certificate
Appropriate State of Ohio Gifted Certification
Appropriate State of Ohio Special Education Certification
Possesses good oral and written communication skills
Professional tact, diplomacy, and presentation with administrators, staff, teachers, students, parents, media, community leaders, and the community
Good health, high moral character, good attendance record and pleasant disposition
Demonstrates sincere desire to aid all students
Satisfactory report from Criminal Records check
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary shall be determined annually by the Board of Education. The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the district. EVALUATION: The Talent Coordinator shall be evaluated by the Director of Curriculum and Instruction, using the form and procedures adopted by the Board of Education.
