Butler County Board of DD is Hiring a HR Generalist - 2249001 Near Hamilton, OH

  • Tracks and maintains employee medical records for FMLA and Workers' Compensation.
  • Ensures security system access/employee badges to the building.
  • Administers all benefit plans offered by the Board, to include: medical, dental, wellness programs, life insurance, etc., and reconciles all benefit invoices.
  • Assists employees with benefit enrollment.
  • Designs and maintains relevant databases and record keeping systems (such as HRIS) with the ability to generate reports and maintains accurate information.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding information employees, people served, and agency.
  • Acts as a representative of the agency while providing excellent customer service.
  • Provides direct clerical support to the Human Resources Department.
  • Distributes, maintains, and tracks management contracts.
  • Monitors budget for HR, Maintenance, and Custodial; creates and submits purchase orders and invoices.
  • Supports the application of and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the completion and maintenance of all current and termed employee files and records in electronic and paper form. (personnel and non-public).
  • Assures the maintenance of agency’s Table of Organization, all Employee Policies and Procedures, Position Descriptions, and Evaluations as well as any other documents created and maintained by the HR department.
  • Assists in talent acquisition and recruitment processes; creates & maintains job posting and interview file; training & development; and employee onboarding, (includes collecting employee file documentation, maintaining certification/licensure, conducting background checks, RapBack/ARCS, etc.)
  • Responsible for maintaining the tracking of all employees’ certifications, licenses, etc. Act as a liaison with the DODD office of certification.
  • Works with Business Office to ensure accuracy of invoices; initiates COBRA notices. Prepares open enrollment documents/packets and assist with the open enrollment process; monitors qualifying events; maintains and updates changes to medical, dental, life and Long-Term Disability (LTD); directs employees to utilize systems designed to support their insurance needs; and tracking of leave benefits.
  • Assists in annual safety drills, AED maintenance, and coordinates annual fire inspections.
