Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Start Teacher to join our organization! This individual will plan and present age appropriate activities for children.
Responsibilities:
- Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote growth socially, emotionally, cognitively and physically
- Create a fun and safe learning environment
- Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
- Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
- Maintain the health and safety of all students
Qualifications:
- Previous, documented experience, at least 2 years, in a high-quality, early childhood education program, preferably in Head Start, teaching, or other related fields
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree ( or very close to completion) in ECE or related field
- All clearances (FBI, PA Criminal, and Child abuse), Health Assessment with TB shot within one year, Mandated Reporter training and required Health & Safety certification training, completed and available
- Passionate about working with children
- Ability to build rapport with children
- Positive and patient demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Work well with other adults to maintain a positive work environment
