Bustleton Learning Center is Hiring a Head Start Teacher - Now Hiring Near Philadelphia, PA

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Start Teacher to join our organization! This individual will plan and present age appropriate activities for children.

Responsibilities:

  • Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote growth socially, emotionally, cognitively and physically
  • Create a fun and safe learning environment
  • Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
  • Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
  • Maintain the health and safety of all students

Qualifications:

  • Previous, documented experience, at least 2 years, in a high-quality, early childhood education program, preferably in Head Start, teaching, or other related fields
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree ( or very close to completion) in ECE or related field
  • All clearances (FBI, PA Criminal, and Child abuse), Health Assessment with TB shot within one year, Mandated Reporter training and required Health & Safety certification training, completed and available
  • Passionate about working with children
  • Ability to build rapport with children
  • Positive and patient demeanor
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Work well with other adults to maintain a positive work environment
