Precious Angels Preparatory School is Hiring an Early Head Start Teacher Near Philadelphia, PA

A teacher’s job is an important one. They present and explain learning materials and educate their students in new subjects. In order to help students learn and understand, teachers must foster an encouraging, interactive environment. Teachers communicate their subject matter by using lectures, printed, visual, audio and/or video materials. They must create a curriculum, form daily lesson plans, and prepare all lesson materials, In class, teachers may lecture on a specific subject and/or assign work, projects and tests to help build knowledge and assess the students’ overall performance in a class. Teachers also act as role models helping students set educational and learning goals.

The teacher’s objective is to educate in a fun and interesting way to better impart knowledge on their students and challenge them to learn more. Teachers are also responsible for maintaining and managing their classrooms and must take disciplinary action when needed. In order to educate their class and ensure success, teachers should maintain a positive attitude, be energetic about the subjects they teach, and share a passion for learning themselves.

Responsibilities:

  • Instruct toddler-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
  • Create a fun and safe learning environment
  • Lesson Planning
  • Student reports
  • Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
  • Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
  • Maintain the health and safety of all students

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree / CDA Required
  • Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
  • Passionate about working with children
  • Ability to build rapport with children and families
  • Positive and patient demeanor
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.98 - $20.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
